What’s Orcas?
The Orcas Flow Meter solution starts with the Orcas App (downloadable from app stores) and works on both iOS and Android devices. The companion, Orcas Sensor, is a compact clamp-on ultrasonic transducer device that mounts on the outside of your pipe—sensing through the pipe wall—and wirelessly transmits flow measurements.
The Orcas App guides you through pipe and liquid parameter selection and input, and then lets you know how to set transducer spacing using the integrated ruler.
Instead of using awkward hose clamps, the Orcas Sensor attaches to pipes with a handy, integrated urethane cord and Cam Cleat. Readings are transmitted to your mobile device for display.
Got your reading? Snap the cords out of their cleats and you’re ready to move on to your next measurement. Next time you return to this location, the Orcas App will remember your settings.
